Powteq: How to grind rice dumplings better?

1.Pre-processing

 Before grinding, cut the whole rice dumplings into small pieces. To ensure they can be frozen more quickly and adequately in the next step.

2.Liquid Nitrogen Freezing

 The main raw material of rice dumplings is glutinous rice. There are also auxiliary ingredients with high sugar content and strong viscosity be added to the dumplings such as candied fruit, jujube, and red beans.

 If you want to grind these samples better and make sure that the composition of the samples does not change, we usually recommend freezing the rice dumplings with liquid nitrogen or dry ice to make them crispy, and then putting them into the grinder for pulverization.

3.Grinding

We recommend the Knife Mill HM100.

Place the frozen sample in the grinding container and set the parameters:

First reverse the rotation and set the speed to 4000 rpm;

Then forward rotation and set the speed to 6000 rpm;

Grinding kit selection: PC material + gravity lid

Time setting: 10s
